John and Ruth Waddell are my grandparents and had an enormous effect on my life. My grandmothers kitchen garden and awareness of nutritional healing helped early on form my cooking style. Grandfather had me doing life drawing at 8 years old and taught me about composition, color, and art history in my late 20′s during my apprenticeship with him. They both Encouraged me strongly to do my own art work and in my dream of moving to Italy to study.
